Herbal T In Theory: Exploring Potentially Masculinizing Herbs
Join us in this community webinar as we explore the amazing possibilities of herbal T.
Non-binary dears, trans boys, gender curious plant nerds - come explore the potential of herbs for gender embodiment, liberation and euphoria!
In this class we will cover:
a brief introduction to androgen hormones and testosterone
some potential mechanisms of herbs for increasing androgens/testosterone in people with ovaries,
theoretical herbs to increase the effects of T with a review of the research
formulation considerations for constitution and balance
and protocol examples.
This class is mostly theoretical with some case study examples included.
It is intended for people who are already familiar with basic herbal terminology and physiology.
This class is offered on a sliding scale and a portion of the funds raised will go towards Ember’s apothecary accessibility fund.

This session will be recorded and sent out to all who sign up.

You are welcome to come as you are to our call, and we invite all participants to tend your body as you need to throughout.

Folks will be invited to participate by unmuting or utilizing the chat. We trust each person to be self responsible and assess their own needs. Who is the facilitator?

Ember Peters (they/them) is a clinical herbalist, educator, gardener, and non-binary queer of Ashkenazi Jewish and Greek ancestry living on the North Mountain of the Annapolis Valley in so-called Nova Scotia, unceded Mi'kmaq territory. Ember has over 3500 hours of clinical experience focusing on accessible trans inclusive care and supporting people with complex chronic illness. Dismantling white supremacy & transphobia are cornerstones of Ember’s practice, a part of their life-long commitment to fighting for liberation for all peoples. They recognize community based holistic health as a tangible step towards collective and individual liberation and resilience. Ember is a Registered Herbal Practitioner with the Herbalist Association of Nova Scotia (HANS) and a founder of the Maritime School of Holistic Herbalism.
